Porting SWd20 stuff to 3.x?

Anybody had any success (or failures of note) in porting SWd20 to 3.x, or mash-up of same? Glossing over Vitality and ignoring the Force, naturally.

I'm particularly curious how Noble, Scout, et al stack up against 3.5 classes.

In my opinion, there is no point. The rogue is better than the scoundrel or fringer, the scout (Complete Adventurer) is better than the scout. The tech specialist and soldier are unnecessary. Only the noble really fills a niche, and even then the Dragonlance noble or Miniatures Handbook marshall seem like better alternatives.

Now if you wanted to convert SWSE classes to 3.5, that would be something I could get behind!

Okay, point taken. I'm presuming by "better" you mean that the rogue has more "cool stuff" and is more effective at its party role than the scoundrel - and I suspect you're right. Although there are certainly some class abilities in there worth swiping. Maybe that's the way to do it, really.

I don't have the Dragonlance noble at hand, but it seems to me that the marshal's leadership qualities aren't quite the same thing as the SW Noble's contacts. Again, feature-swiping might be the way to go here.

Tech Specialist is also ripe for cannibalism - but then, I have a lot of clockwork craziness in my campaign.

I'd added the SW martial arts feats to my D&D back before the revised d20sw. Lets you play a fighter who can mix it up with monks if need be... they're just not as flashy, and more prone to taking a hit. But they can dish it out... 3d4 +str 18-20x2 around 8th lvl.

And back before revised swd20, we had at least two jedi in our D&D campaign at one point. They were... well... Jedi.

You can get a Pathfinder like class by combining the Noble and the Marshal. I just strip the bard-like abilities first and use the rest for the Marshal.
