It's gotta be better than the silly cartoon version that appeared at one time...
You got that right! But it sounds like whoever wrote the article saw it, but never read the books. (And Triplanetary wasn't part of the Lensmen Universe until Doc rewrote the stories for book publication, adding First Lensman, although it was the basis for that universe.) Gotta wonder though, what there're going to do about the 'no female Lensmen' rule. They'll probably get whacked by the critics if they let that fly. And will 'computers' be of the modern variety or people with good mathematical skills as in the stories? If they do this and it becomes a franchise, what about nudity? Doc had a lot of it in the stories.

I'm in as long as they keep the "using an actual planet as a planet-killing missile" bit.

Oh, and if keep the space-axes. Science fiction needs more space-axes.

*still needs to read the books*

I've been trying to find them at stores since reading Triplanetary, but haven't collected them all yet. :\

Be warned the dialog is so cornball it's nausea inducing in a lot of the books. While I loved them when I was in my early teens, they didn't encourage re-reading later in life.
