Posting stat blocks in an adventure

MortalPlague

Adventurer
I'm typing up a small adventure for myself, and I'd like to also post it up here. Are we allowed to post up stat blocks for creatures in the monster manual, however, or is this frowned upon? Should I put a reference to the monster manual page the monster can be found on instead?

It's probably best to cite the book and page number where the stats can be found, instead of posting portions of copyrighted material on the 'net.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I wish I could put up stat blocks, since it makes it easier to run straight off the paper it's written on, but in the end, putting name and page number is less work.

That is exactly how I will handle all my homebrewing. Things that are referenced in published material will be linked like "see Players Handbook (page xx)" and if I have to change something then its like "Replace the first paragraph with:"

I hope this allows us to create our own rules and "publish" them for free over the internet, without violating any rules like the nonexistant GSL.
