If I were planning to run a game with the original 3 books and nothing more, it would be less useful.Right now, for long term use, PDF and print are superior since you can depend on support for them for a long time.  I'm in the process of (destructively) scanning my archive of Dragon and Dungeon magazines so I have them in digital searchable form.  It's time well spent, since it means that in a year or ten years, I'll have it at my fingertips.</blockquote>
