First, check my sig for a link to The Monk Database for all kinds of monk goodness. 1) The obvious choice that hasn't been mentioned is you need to take Improved Natural Attack. 2) While barbarian seems a natural choice, remember that its alignment is inconsistent with Monk. Depending upon how flexible your DM is about alignment shifts, this may not be viable. 3) Does anyone in the party have Enlarge Person & Bull's Strength? If so, ask for those buffs. 4) If you use Psionics, take a level or 2 of PsyWar. You'll get Cleric-like BAB, but you'll have access to Expansion. That power works like Enlarge Person, but can boost your size 2 levels. 5) There are feats- "Ascetic ________"- that let you multiclass without capping monk progression. In addition, depending upon which campaign setting you use, the monk's multiclass restriction is reduced or even eliminated. 6) Certain PrCls give you nice abilities. Prime ones include the Kensai, the Shou Disciple and the Shiba Protector. Of those 3, the Kensai and the Shiba are probably the best bets for your PC. The Kensai lets you enchant your unarmed strikes and has a "willpower" based untyped +8Str boost. A 1-level dip in Shiba Protector lets your Wis bonus add to your Att & Dam rolls, in addition to its effect on your PC's AC. 7) In DCv1, there are feats that expand your list of Monk weapons. However, of more use to you would be Ring the Golden Bell- the one that lets you use your unarmed strikes at range.
