Mithral Makes armor 1 size smaller (not to mention takes down the check penalty by twoplus the other two from the DWK which also increases the hardness and hitpoints of the armor, plus a max dex bonus of +5, +1 base, +2 Mithral, +2 Dwk) and Battleplate is heavy which makes it Medium, and with the Armored Mage: Medium ability offered at 8th level by the Warmage you can cast spells as if he was wearing no armor. Then with the Fullblade you have reach of 15ft (no penalty if the enemies get closer) so you can stave off those pesky foes trying to hurt you while you cast!
