Powers for Int Items

I don't know if there are any, but I agree with the implication that the few that are in the DMG aren't enough. I've always created my own powers for Intelligent Items (since 1e) on the grounds that I prefer things to be more campaign-specific and unique.

But, a resource of more things, balanced for play, would be nice.

ya i havent found any more powers at all kinda upsetting seeing that every book has magic items but none of them have powers for int ones.

thanks for the responce.

grand lvl of disapointment on this one. next lvl with my guy i plan on getting Item Familiar from UA just a bit messed up that i cant find more powers 3.5 at that.

Let us hope then didnt get neglected in the new book

The feat Item Familiar in Unearthed Arcana has other things you can do with intelligent items (like put skill ranks and spell slots into them to give yourself a skill rank or spell slot surplus while you have the item).

I'm actually reading the Item Familiar feat in UA right now an d heavily considering taking it with my current character. And I am pleasantly surprise that they use the term sapience instead of sentience, which are confused way too often.

And yes, thee are way too few options for intelligent weapons in the DMG. There should be at least twice as many, especially for the special purpose powers. Heck, there should be a simple mechanic for just allowing the use of a spell of a given level so many times per day or something.

I really hope there are more options in the Magic Item Compendium.

ya been planning this for a long time with my duelest

what would the range be on the communicate telepathically because if its anything more then touch you could use it for talking to the party by asking your item to tell another member something

In had a gnome illusionist I was going to play with an intelligent Spellbook as her Item Familiar. It was a shame that I didn't get to play it... :(
