[PR] AEG - Pirates and Musketeers, The Spycraft Modern Arm¹s Guide

BTW, who is doing Skull & Bones now? Last I heard, Adamant Entertainment dropped the project. Correct me if I'm wrong.

One can hope AEG can compete with the leading competitors, Mongoose Publishing's Seas of Blood and FFG's Seafarer's Handbook.

Still, I'm waiting for anyone who have the mental moxie to produce ship stats for Asian sea vessels.

Aye, the water's choppy

Drop? No, lad, not "drop". Generally, one tries not to "drop" a years worth of effort.

Adamant is, however, licensing Skull & Bones to another party, who for the moment {but not much longer} shall remain nameless.

When we announced Skull & Bones in May of 2001, we had no idea whatsoever so many other titles would come out. Despite all the competition, I still think S&B can sail on its own merits. It's a Role-players book, with a HUGE amount of accurate historical research backed up by some serious Hitean undertones.

[That would be: Hitean - As in similar too or drawing on the themes frequented by Kenneth Hite. I'm makin a new word here - I have a Lit degree, so I'm allowed. :D ]

I only have one other comment on the subject, you all can take it for what it's worth:

I will never again start in on a project unless I'm absolutely sure that I'm the only one doing anything like it.

Cheers mateys,

His name is Tron... they say he fights for the Users.

I really liked Hite's work on LUG's Star Trek.

As it is, I forsee myself buying AEG's guide, S&B, and Avalanche's book.

I'm a sucker for pirates/nautical adventures.

Just as another note: We at the PCGen team are coding in the SpyCraft material as we speak. We have 40% of the work done and are working dillegently on finishing the rest. Now you can combine your favorite Character Generator with the new setting Spycraft!

Well I hope that the Swashbuckler game doesn't suck myself, I could use a low magic game setting.

From the review Morrus sounded like he wanted to play the Scarlet Pumpernickel his self lol.

What is this June date for Spycraft? It's out already! Well, I have it anyway.

Extremely cool, BTW. It's got pretty much am MI feel. I'm looking forward to the gameworld setting.

[EDIT] Never mind, I get it; it's the weapon supplement.

The question still remains: is the swashbuckler book D20 7th Sea or not?

To quote from the PR

"The core world setting of this game is Theah, the universe created for AEG's 7th Sea RPG"

Now unless they're going to do two separate competing products, I would have to say, Yes, it is the D20 7th Sea people have been talking about.
