It took a little bit longer than expected with weddings, sick kids, and training the help, but the next Xenogenic Adventure by Ennie Nominated Adventure Author Jeffrey Quinn is now available at DireKobold.com. It's called Crypt of the Beast Lord and it was originally written for four 3rd level characters, but it can be dynamically scaled from 1-12 characters of 1st to 7th level.
Signing up is still free. People have been so helpful about using the adventures and supplying feedback on the system, that I decided to extend the free beta period to make sure to really take advantage of the feedback. This will also ensure that when we do start offering subscriptions you can expect to find nothing but well-polished, high-quality adventures from some of the best writers in the industry.
So for the rest of the month of February DireKobold is still 100% free we will start taking early sign-ups in a week or so and everyone who takes advantage of the early sign-up will get a special bonus (to be revealed later).
Our next adventure, available later in the month, will be the second installment of Wil Upchurch's Adventure path series, and let me tell you, you'll definitely want to take a look.
In addition to the new adventure we have some features and bug-fixes.
The overwhelming feedback was that selecting "no pictures" should not get rid of the maps. So now the options are images, just maps, or nothing. Also most of the adventures allow you to select between high-resolution and low resolution images for you people with broadband.
One Day's Journey into Night has a new piece of art, a picture of Valdymyr, the werebat chief.
Traps were not being multiplied by the treasure percentage of the adventure leading to inflated totals at really low levels with really low percentages. That's been taken care of.
There were some issues with the way spells were being displayed. These have been resolved.
Foul Deeds Rise had some problems with the numbering on the maps and in the adventure, but everything has been brought into synch.
There are some other minor issues which I've worked on over the last month or so which slip my mind now.
Most of all I'd like to thank all the people who have e-mailed me with comments or issues and I hope you keep it up.
In closing I'd just like to say go check it out, it won't be free much longer!
