Just a short note to say that we've posted a short PDF excerpt from the Freeport: City of Adventure hardback. The proofs were approved by our Production Director while Chris and I were at DunDraCon, and we're all waiting on pins and needles to see the whole thing in final form, hopefully in the next three weeks.

Meanwhile, we hope the excerpt will give people a taste of what's in store. :D Check it out at: http://www.greenronin.com/files/fp_coa_web.pdf

Very nice! The artwork is immersive, which is definitely a first so far as D20 System settings go. I was going to buy it anyway, but now I might actually have to read it too. ;)

Small mistake in the preview?

"But the price is right
and the owner, Jamison (see sidebar on page 85), is friendlier than
you’d expect."

According to the number at the bottom of the, that is page 85. And the sidebar is for a guy named 'Gragwipe'. (or 'Cragwipe', I guess, hard to tell with the font used...

On the previous page, 84, it also says for Cragwipe, "See Sidebar", not "See Sidebar on page 85".

No big deal (kinda like all the see page XX you often see in RPG books) but noticeable...

Aw man, I post a spiffy preview of our book and the only comment I can pry out of you is you noticed the page number was off?

:(

::sniff::

You guys are tough.

Well, I also did make fun of the font used in the sidebar. :p

Really, though, there's not much to say. Everyone knows it's going to be excellent, and it's one of the few upcoming d20 products I plan to rush out and buy when it's available.

Hmmm, I seem to remember some wise words about things like this. What were they again? Oh yeah...

People live to bitch. Give them something for free and they'll complain that the portions were too small.
;)

Seriously, the preview is great and the book is pre-ordered and impatiently awaited.

Hee! Thanks for reminding me. Even we cranky old pros forget sometimes. ;)

Well, no rest for the wicked. Back to toiling in the Green Ronin dungeon for me.

Yeah, get those contracts done or I'll make you feed the Otyugh again!

Now *that's* an orcish bar!

I *love* Krom's Throat. That is the coolest bar I've ever seen detailed.

My group think they're all tough and whatnot. I think I'll have them wander by and drop in for a drink...

heeheehee...
