Dark Nebulae is pleased to announce that Shadow Council Archives: Materia
Magica has been sent to the printer as of July 15th.
Materia Magica will debut at GEN CON 2002, where it occupies a place on the
back cover of the onsite manual, and is scheduled to arrive at the Tundra
Sales Organization Fulfillment Warehouse the week of August 18th, 2002. At
that time it will be shipped to distributors and subsequently to retailers
shortly thereafter.
The response to Materia Magica has been extremely positive and compliments
have been paid to the beautiful cover, distinctive artwork and original and
highly playable concepts contained within. "We are all excited about the
release of this sourcebook. We've adhered to high standards and it reflects
itself in the way the book looks, reads and plays." says Mark Mazella, a
design partner at DNI.
A unique magical equipment sourcebook, Materia Magica possesses all new
categories of items, such as Synergy Outfits and Cultivations, as well as
exciting new variants affecting tried and true categories, such as Infective
Curses and Exceptional Foci. Overall the book provides a new level of magic
item customization and options for players and gamemasters. The book is set
to an engaging and enigmatic storyline that begins in Materia Magica and
will be unveiled as the brand continues. Materia Magica is an invaluable
resource for d20 fantasy gaming at any level and will find a place in almost
