I have a short question...
When a SR/PR creature is caught in a area of effect spell/power. Does it cancel the whole effect???..
Example: Yesterday in our campain, we had a little situation.
i tried to manifest a read thoughts to know the intentions of a couple of people. One of my "allies" (who happens to be in the area) triggered a immidiate power (thought shield) that granted him a PR.
I didn't penetrate it, and according to the DM it cancelled my power.

Is that true?... (i didn't want to start a discussion during playing time)
I can't find it anywhere in the SRD... or maybe im just blind

Targeted Spells: Spell resistance applies if the spell is targeted at the creature. Some individually targeted spells can be directed at several creatures simultaneously. In such cases, a creature’s spell resistance applies only to the portion of the spell actually targeted at that creature. If several different resistant creatures are subjected to such a spell, each checks its spell resistance separately.

Area Spells: Spell resistance applies if the resistant creature is within the spell’s area. It protects the resistant creature without affecting the spell itself.

So your spell is not affected.
