Praemal?

Yeah, yeah, I know, we've barely scratched the surface of the Ptolus Tome, but reading about the broader world of Praemal begs this question: will there be a companion Tome: Praemal, detailing the wider world, including the southern continent, in a similar 670 page monster?

I for one, would love to have this tome sitting right next to Ptolus. Although in terms of content, there is sure enuff stuff in the Ptolus Tome to last several campaigns, from a variety of spice kind of viewpoint, it would be nice to have some more info when PC's do leave the city. The tintillating descriptions of some of the other lands pretty much scream out to me to be filled in with as much quality as Ptolus.

So... anyone else interested in such a work? Could we get Monte to do something with it?

I very highly doubt it (and I think that you do too). Ptolus is Monte's magnum opus. And after going through it all once I don't know if he'd want to do anything like it ever again!

All indications are that he doesn't intend to do anything like that at this time and that he really has left modern Praemal mostly undetailed in his home campaign, using it mostly as "places people came from." For what it's worth, I know a fair number of people are running campaigns outside of Ptolus proper (I've got one/two on the Prustan Peninsula). If Monte gave a green light to it, I suspect a Praemal wiki would fill up with good stuff pretty fast. (And I'm happy to reprint my Prustan Peninsula stuff, if people want it, wiki or no, although it should be noted that I've just got most of its sketched out and am only filling in the details of the areas I actually need for adventures, like the border with Kem and the Barony of Midwood.)
