Is there any sort of errata available on-line for the Creature Collection? A few things seem like mistakes to me.

Examples:

The CHarduni is CR 1/4, even though it's equal to, and in MANY ways stronger than the dwarf (CR 1/2) except that it's spot bonus is one less and it doesn't have craft metal working.

Many of the Vermin in the book are listed as having intelligence scores of 1, even though the Monster Manual says vermin have no intelligent scores

The Exemplars with 2 HD are just like 2nd level monks, but for some reason are CR 1 instead of CR 2.

I know these are extremely minor nit picks but they have kind of killed my trust in the creature collection, and I'm worried that there may be other problems I should know about. Thanks in advance for your help Nightfall!

Well, I'm not the Sage, but I shall give a go of it. ;)

Actually, we are aware of the mistakes that exist in the current Creature Collection book. Unfortunately, there are so many (because when the book was released, everyone was still getting a good grip on the D20 rules set), it is simply impractical to release errata for everything.

So, what we have done is prepare to release the Creature Collection Revised; we have completely revised the monster stats for the creatures in there, including transforming some of the creatures (such as hags, fatlings and the Unhallowed) into templates.

But more than that, we have added material, such as the complete racial information for the PC races from both the Scarred Lands DM Screen booklet and the Termana Gazetteer. We have also included an appendix that tells you where the various creatures from the Monster Manual belong in the Scarred Lands.

All in all, Creature Collection Revised promises to stand head-and-shoulders above its predecessor - and that's saying a lot.

Thanks Joe. :) *informs Moe* I do have to eat and sleep some times you know. So I don't always get to this. But I will say get CC Revised. It's a great looking book. (That is if you DID fix that horrid picture of the Albadian Wardog right Joe? ;) *is kidding*)

Also like to add both CC2 and upcoming CC 3 should be standouts in terms of quality and most CR problems. (at least there's only a few questionable CRs but overall, everything is pretty dead on. I mean CC2 is no worse or better than say the MM or even MM2 to some degrees.)

Alright, cool, thanks for the info! In less than a week I'll finally be old enough to legally get a job (even if it IS just sweeping up at price chopper) so after I legitimately buy everything I've pirated :o I'll get to the new CCs.

Actually, I'm thinking that "Scarred Lands Evangelast" would be a very nifty name for an anime series.

*smirks* Yeah I play with special cards and go around saying "It's time to duel" Oh wait they are alreadying doing that. ;)

revised CC

when I first heard about this revision I was distraught, after all my copy is less then a year old. but the more I hear about the revision the better this book is looking. I'm already looking forward to it.

Trust me San, this copy is DEFINATELY worth your time. I wouldn't give you a bum steer just now! Maybe later when you're not looking. ;) *is kidding*
