This is the first PrC I've posted for review on EN World, and I'm hoping for some constructive feedback. The mirage knight class is designed with duskblades and battle sorcerers in mind, but I could see a warmage or bard taking it up as well. The intent of the class is to make a warrior/mage ("gish") character who focuses on illusion more interesting and feasible. As a 5-level PrC, it is fairly focused. Thanks for viewing! Mirage Knight Hit Die: d8 Requirements To qualify to become a mirage knight, a character must fulfill all the following criteria. Base Attack Bonus: +4 Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 9 ranks. Feats: Combat Casting. Spells: Able to cast 2nd-level arcane spells without preparation. Must be able to cast these spells in light armor without penalty. Class Skills The mirage knight’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Decipher Script (Int), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (arcana, history, nobility and royalty) (Int), Sleight of Hand (Dex), and Spellcraft (Int). Skill Points at Each Level: 2 + Int modifier. This is a spell-like ability; it does not consume a spell slot, and you do not need to know mirror image to activate it. The mirror image effect uses your caster level but lasts 1 round per mirage knight level (rather than its normal duration of 1 minute per caster level). The mirror image effect can be activated even if the attack misses. Other effects that may be triggered by a critical hit, such as the thundering weapon property, treat the attack as a critical hit even if you choose to forgo applying the damage multiplier. Advanced learning (Ex): At 1st level, you learn a new spell. The spell must be a sorcerer/wizard spell of the illusion school and of a level no higher than the highest-level spell you already know. This spell does not have to be on the spell list of your spellcasting class. You gain another new spell at 3rd and 5th level. Spell Focus (illusion): At 3rd level, you gain Spell Focus (illusion) as a bonus feat. If you already have Spell Focus (illusion), you instead gain Greater Spell Focus (illusion). Improved mirage blade: Beginning at 5th level, you do not have to forgo dealing additional damage on a critical hit to activate the mirage blade ability.
