Throughout the multiverse, there have been many deities and these deities have had followers. Most have been normal people, striving to adhere to the rules set down by their respective gods. Some have become clerics and priests. Devout followers who can, with prayer, channel the divine energies of their god either for good or ill. Of the clerics, there is yet a smaller enclave. that of the True Disciple. People who are so in tune with the voice of their god that they willingly sacrifice their very being in order to create great wonders in their god's name. A character who becomes a True Disciple, does so with the undestanding that the road is filled with danger and sacrifice. The physical toll exacted by following this path can render the character a mere shell of what they once were. Many who begin this path do not survive, but those that do gain access to the very essence of their god, able to perform feats of divine magic almost unheard of. True Disciple BAB - 2/3 Prereqs - same alignment as deity, ability to cast 5th level divine spells, construct wonder* Spell progression - same as cleric level 1 - -2 str, caster level +1 level 2 - -2 Con, -2 Dex, +1 Will Save level 3 - divine connection I* level 4 - level 5 - level 6 - Divine Connection II level 7 - level 8 - level 9 - Divine connection III level 10 - All stat penalties restored. Construct Wonder - The character receives a divine inspiration to construct a Wonder dedicated to their deity. It can be a statue, cathedral, Shrine, or anything else that might be appropriate. The constuction of the wonder itself will span the entire time needed to reach level 10 and will require a sacrifice of character resources equaling the TD level *10 in percent of resources. ( level 1 requires 10 percent level 5 requires 50). Divine connection - The character chooses a level 1 spell from the divination school. The character can now use that spell as a supernatural ability 3 times/day. Level 2 of this ability allows the character to choose a second level 1 spell, or sacrifice the existing spell for 1 level 2 spell. Level 3 of this ability allows for 3 total levels of spells. (3 lvl1, 1 lvl1 and 1 lvl2, or 1 lvl3 spell). I haven't finished with the abilities by level yet. let me know what you think so far and please feel free to offer suggestions.
