[QUOTE="Rechan, post: 3987473, member: 54846"] I'm doing a meet-and-greet free D&D game for all comers. Although I know that a lot of folk who are coming like the social roleplay, and one complete newbie is coming. With that in mind, I'm trying to create some fun characters that people can take their pick. The game is going to be light hearted, or at least humorous, and light on the fighting - so I've designed the characters with that in mind. Except I'm running out of ideas! Here's what I've got so far: [sblock]Karvoso – The Slayer of Hearts, Winner of None Male Human Fighter You are a brilliant warrior. A paladin, your patrons both the God of War and the Goddess of Beauty and Love. Handsome. All the women in the land want you to fight in their name, but none shall have you. You are a paladin, your patrons both the God of War and the Goddess of Beauty and Love. Your “lance” is enormous, and you can smite twelve ogres in a single charge. In your head. In realtiy, you’re a misogynistic, boisterous dumbass. Oh, you’re smart, but coupled with a low wisdom and a low charisma, you don’t know when to shut your mouth, assume everything is in your favor, and simply cannot see it any other way. Scar the Skald of Sarola Human Barbarian 1/Bard 1 The song of battle and war cries of your ancestors sings through your heart and rings in your bones. Battle cries and war howls strike fear in the hearts of your enemies, and all your allies want to charge in behind you. Outside of a fight, you’re not sure where you belong. There’s not that same drum of the heart, or ache in your swinging arm. That’s why you’re on the road – to find more battles to sing, but more importantly, who you are when you don’t hear the din of clashing blades. Miova Many-Voices Female Elven Sorceress 2 The magic passed down the women in your family draws from the ghosts that they let into their bodies. You are a Matosa – a Medium-witch. You allow spirits into your body, and they grant you power. This is a blessing and a curse; the spirits that climb inside of you effect who you are. Your personality, your behavior. And sometimes it’s hard to stop the ghosts from coming in – your just-killed enemies might hitch a ride, and they’re a bit irritated with their recent departure. (Idea on current spirit inside is welcome) Ochee Hawkeye Halfling Rogue1/Fighter1 You're a sniper, and a damn good one. Many a foe and beast has fallen to your arrows, and you're scared of nothing except one of them getting on top of you. You walk tall, even though you're 3'5. Nothing's going to stop you, nothing can best you. Except bad luck. Which is why you've never met a superstition you've never heeded: Trip on a root, fail to shoot; Sneeze while sitting and you'll take a hitting; Dead animal on your path and misfortune you hath; wear the lucky, three-week-old shirt you killed that rabid wolf with one shot, smear ashes in your hair from every fire you come to. Any superstition you can think of, stick to it.[/sblock] So, I need concepts and roleplaying tips. Female characters are good too, because I know at least two women are coming. 2nd level - so if you want to give statblocks, sure, go ahead. That's not as important as the character types, tho.
