Sidran

First Post
After the fading of the Aratha, and the Fomor from the world of Heaven Aryandwë grew lonely and appealed to the Sina for companions. In answer to her request their came into the world the first Sinar, Ciliador, and his Brother Farindûl. Seeing the Green Maiden the two brothers where smitten, each professing love and seeking to outdo eachother. It came about that by his actions and his humbleness towards his hateful brother that Ciliador won the Aryandwë, and the lay with eachother and from them sprung the Sindaran, and remembering their father they headed to the west and founded the peaceful kingdom of Ciliadorn, and their they remained until the time when Horinthur of the Andur came to them seek assistance.

And in his passionate anger over the deeds of his brother, and seeing the beauty of the Sindaran who were recently come from his brothers seed. Farindûl took up his bow and slew his brother. And he desguised himself in his brothers clothes and came upon Aryandwë in the night and tricked her, and he too lay with her, and there was born to them the Indûlain , the Children of Storms and they were dark as their father was dark, and thought vile thoughts against the creatures of the world. Aryandwë, saw her children and knew in her heart what evil Farindûl had committed, and ran deep into the heart of the world to the home of the Andur and their she stayed with them until the time when her children the Indûlain, came in search of her.

Now Farindûl woke to the horror of what he had done and returned to the place where his brother was buried, and lamented over him saying “ I and my blood are forever Kinslayer, good shall come of my loins” and he began to wail out his sorrow. His tears gathered up into one place and formed the greater sea of tears now known as the Sea of Sorrow.

The Indûlain harkened unto the their father, and seeing him in such a way, said to themselves see father cries for, Aryandwë has been taken by the stone cutters, let us recover her and punish them for their great evil. They gathered together many ingredients of magic, and forged from the earth the Iccorath, a being of great power, and they unleashed it upon the Andur and willed it to turn them to stone that they’re error might always be remembered and never repeated. It is at this time that Horinthur came to Isamildë first king of Ciliadorn, and begged him his help.
While Horinthur was away on his journey the Iccorath came upon the Andur at their home fortress of Stammerfjorge at the center of the world and turned the Andur to stone by the thousands as they fled their warrens. The Indûlain came upon their mother, and cast a spell of sleep upon her, because her mind was not sound and she struggled to be free of her children. And they took her to the Garden of the Llandar, and encased her in a crystal crypt to keep her until the time that their father might wake from rest( for he had fallen whilst lamenting the loss of his brother) And thus the Indûlain inherited the world beneath. Now Horinthur, on returning with Isamildë, and his host found his people already taken by the evil of the Indûlain, and cried out heartily for his people saying unto his companion Rochinlar

"We are blood of the Kings of the Fire gods,
Brothers to the flame of the world,
No stone can stop us from are hearts content,
And lo our brothers crumble to dust ,
Our daughters statues for our conquerers, Let us revenge are families" And he drew his axe.

And Rochinlar hearing his kings words was scared heartily and said unto his king" let us carry on the legacy of our brothers my lord that by life we might carry on the honor of our people. " And he refused to take action against the Indûlain, and headed back with the Sindaran to the home of Isamildë, and his heartbroken king came with him, and they went by sea to the west lands and took for themselves the daughters of the Sea King Aracidar, and carved a home for themselves at the foot of the mountain Sharath- Grale where their descendents live to this day.

1 In the beginning there was only the Sína; The Voidless light, and in the tongue of the ancient Andar was known as Silar, who made them from his thoughts. and the spread outward from his bosom crafting for themselves a covering of stone and earth. Now At the edge of the Voidless light a harsh wind stirred and breathed life into the Sína,
2 And it grew wise in its thoughts and its deeds, and gave form to the first of the Andar, and through them learned the nature of all things both large and small. But the Sína grew restless, and lonely in his heart, and wished that it might have one to call a companion.
3 Thus was the Fomôr created, and it too touched the winds of life and grew wise and crafty in its thoughts learning to prize its cunningness. It is by him that Sarnan king of the foxes was created and to this day roams the wilds of Aryand.
4 And the Sína, and the Fomôr walked together often through the Gardens and forests Sinarân. Relishing in the peace, and the friendship of eachother.
5 Sína went out from his abode alone across the silver waters to the deep forest which to him was unknown, and from a hidden glade came the sounds of some one harping.
6 Drawing near to the pleasant sounds of the harp he came upon Sinarwë And said unto her ‘Who is it that chimes the dawn up with her harping’ to this she did not answer.
7 And he spoke unto her saying ‘Who is it that pulls my heart towards her with just a glance’ and she replied to him ‘ Who is she indeed, not I, I am but a dreamer dreaming of the Light shining’
8 and she said unto him ‘I am the daughter of the Wind, who was seeded by the Voidless light, and was born into it gently blown kisses’ And she opened herself unto Sína, and he saw her for his other half created but lost from the first.
9 And they bound together, and she grew heavy with child and gave birth to Arathir, and while they were together Sarnan king of the foxes came upon them secretly and reported to his master saying
10 ‘Sína, has found the dawn willing to give him child, while the light is still not full let us conspire that you to will find her willing.’
11 Then Fomôr cloaked himself in the image Sína, and went unto her, and lay with her while Sína was away.
And he revealed himself unto her and she fled in fear from him unto Sína and told him all that had been done,
12 And Sína grew angry with Fomôr and ground his teeth at him, and in his anger cast Fomôr into the void.
13 And Sinarwë grew heavy with child and gave birth to Azdanôr, and Astá* .
14 And Sína foster them as his own, and they grew strong and wise in all things, and followed him in the service of the light
15 But Azdanôr grew rebellious against Sína, and fled into the void after his father.
16 And Sína, wept and prostrated himself saying ‘Though one was lost still one is saved’ and he betrothed Arathir to Astá and wed them saying ‘From you will the light spread into the hearth of the world’
17 And together they went to the lands below to where the Andar dwelt and took upon them the raiment's of the stone folk, and Astá grew heavy with child and gave birth unto Aryandwë and the world shook,
18 And the heavens brightened as if lightning filled the sky, and Sína spoke in an unknown voice saying ‘by this child shall all be wrought, and by her sorrow will come upon all of the Sinar, such torment, and not but the Andar shall remain within’.1
19 And saying this Sina and Sinarwë vanished from the lands of Sinarân to be seen no more, and Aryandwë grew strong and wise in all things.
20 But from her did the Sinar grow, and spread from shore to shore upon the face of Sinarân, among them being the Sindaran, and the Indûlain
21 And the Dhoradwyrn who are now remembered as the great dragons. And Aryandwë married and she lived fifteen hundred years and had Arolfin, and she lived thirty, and had Arwyth.
22 And these are the names of sons of Arolfin; Jacoir the son of Zhera, Gatam the son of Yarinwë; And the sons of Arwyth were Tachën, Kenaz, and Nahath; and Jacoir went with Gatam and the journeyed and came to a land of milk and honey; And together the founded the kingdom of Arandur,
23 And Tachën took for himself a wife from the Silar, and went on into the Hearth of Sinar which is now known as Aryand, ‘The maidens Hearth’ and their he settled and built up the walls of the city of Tachënfjord which is now known as the City of Tachënhurst, on the river Noord. Kenaz took for himself a wife from the children of the Andar and journeyed to Aryand and he dwelt deep in the Morning mountains and established the race of Duarandar, and they retreated further into the earth until the evil of the Iccorath descended upon them. And Nahath took for himself a wife, Silanwë of the Arathan; And he also went down to the Aryand and his descendants grew and prospered, and took to the sea; And these are the names of the sons of Nahath; Jacoiran, and Sahridaz. And Jacoiran journeyed to the east and dwelt in the vale of Imlarin and from him did the people of Astán, Thirorthay, and Naul come. And Sahridaz Journeyed with him as far as Eingëdwar and there he dwelt. And time moved slowly for the sons of the Sinar, and they dwelt in peace. Thru them the Silar grew populous in the world of the hearth. Now it came about that in his fiftieth year in the Vale of Eingëdwar Sahridaz came upon a woman at a well, and he found her beautiful to his sight and he asked her saying ‘I am thirsty from my travels, and have no vessel by which to draw water’ And she said unto him ‘Here is mine what hinders you from using it’ and she proceeded to draw water for him. And he said unto her “by the blood of my kin, I have had a foretelling that I would come upon a well and say unto the first woman I found ‘I am thirsty from my travels, and have no vessel by which to draw water’ And she who would take pity on me and qualm my thirst, and that she would be the one for whom I would wed’ Having said this he asked to seek out her father. And when they had come to the walls of her father home he called out ‘I am Sahridaz son of Nahath of the Arathan’ And her father rose and came to the gate, and said unto Sahridaz ‘ I am Torhen, son of Tachën also of the Arathan, and this is my daughter Shmiya who I hold dear to me’ At this Sahridaz rejoiced telling of his foretelling of the well, and then he knelt before Torhen and asked for his daughters hand.
And Sahridaz dwelt among the people of Torhen, deep within the earth for six hundred years, and peace was in the world. And to him Shmiya bore a son which he named Isamildë, and he lived three hundred years and passed into the Sína, thus death first came to Aryand. And his son grew tall, and fair, and it came about that he left his mother and traveled south across the River Anu to the land of the Aratha and he built for himself a wondrous city on the place of great power and named the city Torh-Nahathas which later grew to be known as Thorenath. And Isamildë took for himself a wife of the Aratha, and she bore him Human, first of the Hathans, a tall and fair man. And to him also was born Thylasha, and Human saw his sister, and fell in love with her and they lay together and gave birth to the twins Hannan, and Kairdain and from them the seed of man grew in the world and multiplied three fold and became a power in Aryand
