Hey all! I ran a 4th edition playtest last night, using the D&DXP pregen characters and various monster stats that have been posted on this forum. It helped that I'd actually gone to D&DXP and played the preview adventures, so I had a sense of the flow and pacing of 4th edition (and I was even able to include a Skill Challenge in the adventure). Since I had 7 PCs, but there are only 6 pregenerated characters, I created a 1st level elf rogue using the information in the two Ampersand articles (one about rogues, one about elves) and various bits of mechanical reverse-engineering found on these forums. All of the abilities come from official sources except the rogue's Daily Power; the only one on Wizards' site was a Rogue Attack 9 Daily Power, so I reduced its power somewhat and made it into the Rogue Attack 1 Daily Power called "Easy Target" (no idea if this is what Easy Target actually does). Also, the Hand Crossbow's stats are a guess. This rogue uses the Brutal Scoundrel build. The player who played the rogue (who was also at D&DXP) reported after the playtest that the rogue was fun to play, very up-close and bloody. So, here's a PDF of Varis Darkstrider, Level 1 Elf Rogue! Enjoy! (Edit: Increased damage on the daily to 3W, and fixed text on the daily that said "Encounter". Also fixed dagger prof to be +3, and basic melee attacks to be keyed off Str instead of Dex.)
