Just off the top of my browser: http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~bz050/HomePage.czlinks.html http://www.strangeark.com/cryptofiles.html http://www.pantheon.org/areas/bestiary/articles.html In one of the old Dragon Magazines, there was an article about using the "AKA" system of naming your monsters, which was what inspired me on this-- unfortunately I don't have the Archive CD handy, so I can't get you the reference. Anyone? The Dragon Mag articles on playing in Africa also had a bunch of beasts like the Chemosit, &c http://wererat.net/werewhere.htm has a bunch of names for your werecreatures... Tim Martin used to have a list of RW animals from ancient Australia, but I can't find his site any more... it used to be Mazaron's Castle. He had also done writeups on Dixon's After Man and some conversions of old 1E Dragon Magazine monsters for use as PCs ( Urisk and Hurgeon from one of the Creature Catalogs) His site is where I also yoinked the term "Buata", which he used as a form of Orc for Polynesian-type islands... I have no idea where to find the many names and types of ghost/ ghoul/ vampire, but it was a site along the lines of "Where's the Were?" above... I also cribbed some stuff from the Gurps Archives site, specifically this file, for some historical names of demons & angels: http://gurpsnet.sjgames.com/Archive/Magic/Rituals/Besti.htm Looking through the old Roleplayers they have online could give you some info, too... I really should have kept the links, or at least made footnotes on my list, huh? Browsing the cryptozoology stuff should get you started...
