I don't think having the island named is a tip-off to it being as pivotal as it is.

And I always thought of the whole place as Lanjyr. Mostly because that was the last vowel-plus-R option left.

The map of the world in the Ancients' time (in adventure 3) shows that modern Danor and Risur were once part of the same continent, so I used that as an excuse and in-game explanation to why they both are called Lanjyr even now.
