But in the PHB the rules for attack types (melee/ranged/close/area) are on pages 270-271.  For ranged attacks the requirement you use enough ammunition is the last paragraph of p270, for close attacks it's the last paragraph of the first column of p271, and for area attacks it's the last but one paragraph of the second paragraph of p271, directly above "provoke opportunity attacks".Strictly RAW you can use the power with a single dagger but only when there's only one target in the blast.</blockquote>
