Located at <a href="http://www.GamersOfFlorida.com" target="_blank">Gamers of Florida</a>, the site is to serve as a central location where events, ranging the entire gamut of hobby gaming and spanning the almost-sixty-thousand miles of the state, can be promoted for the benefit of all Florida gamers.</p><p></p><p>Gamers of Florida is the work of Rainier Madruga and Daniel M. Perez, both gamers from the South Florida area, who wanted to do something to foment gaming across all stores, gaming groups, cities and counties. “It all started with an idea for a central calendar of events,” said Daniel M. Perez, who also owns Highmoon Games, a small press dedicated to publishing gaming products. “Next thing I know, Rainier had this whole website built and ready to go. I guess the time was right.”</p><p></p><p>“The community of Gamers in Florida needs a central place to network and find other players with common interest,” said co-founder Rainier Madruga. “Gamers of Florida is a kinetic vehicle for finding games of all sorts in Florida. We look to cater to war, board, card, roleplay and video gamer alike as we bring a social calendar and events to the Gamers of Florida.”</p><p></p><p>Gamers of Florida invites all gamers in the Sunshine State to drop by the website, create an account and subscribe to the RSS feed. Game store owners and event organizers are encouraged to join as well and to share the events in their areas via the Calendar of Events at the site.
