The first book, HERETIC, is due to be released from Pocket Books in July 2005 and is written by the Bram Stoker and International Horror Guild Award nominated author, Joseph Nassise. The current president of the Horror Writers Association, Joe has also been retained to write the game setting for Morrigan Press.</p><p></p><p>Morrigan Press will be releasing this exciting new sourcebook as a d20 Modern game setting. The planned 128 page hardcover will contain background setting material and new game mechanics, including new feats, skills, FX, game rules and character classes. A never-before published original short story featuring the characters from the series will also be included in the volume, which is expected to debut at Gencon 2005.</p><p></p><p>Founded in 2004, Morrigan Press is a privately held Canadian firm devoted to creating exciting settings and sourcebooks for the role-playing game industry. Their latest project, a role-playing game based upon the hit Showtime SF series, Jeremiah, will see publication in November through Mongoose Publishing.
