As of today, I am claiming copyright on the Anime d20 Monstrous Manual, previously published in an unauthorised version by "Guardians of Order" as the "BESM d20 Monstrous Manual."
This was a piece of work which I originally intended for publication by Guardians of Order, but as they failed to fulfil their contractual obligations (specifically, the payment to me of $2433.10 within 60 days of the book's publication last year), and have refused to communicate with me regarding said lack of payment, I am holding them in breach of contract. I have given them every opportunity to repair said breach of contract, and they have wilfully failed to do so. My assignment to them of the copyright on the work was contingent in their paying me appropriately for said assignment, which they have failed to do.
Therefore, their "BESM d20 Monstrous Manual" is an unauthorised issue of a copy of my original work, the "Anime d20 Monstrous Manual." Under the Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act 1988 and associated Statutory Instruments, as well as related international agreements on copyright law, any distribution, hire, or loan of the "BESM d20 Monstrous Manual" from this point onwards will be treated as an infringement of my intellectual property, and dealt with accordingly by various means up to and including legal action.
My "Anime d20 Monstrous Manual" is now available directly from me, via a paypal payment to bridiep@dsl.pipex.com of $22 or £12. (Please note that said PayPal account can only accept payments tied directly to a bank account, not to a credit card.) Alternate payment options are available for those -- email me on sturrock@gmail.com for more info. The book is available only as a series of .rtf files (viewable and printable using any standard word processing software). Please note that there's no art in the book at present, though it is laid out (if in somewhat primitive fashion). I will make a PDF version available soon, which will go out to anyone who has bought the .rtf file versions too. Files will be sent out manually, so please allow up to 3 working days.
