March 20, 2005. For immediate release and dissemination: Lions Den Press is pleased to announce the formation of a new partnership with leading electronic publisher Ronin Arts to produce PDF products for D20 fantasy and other RPG lines. Although Lions Den is a newcomer as a creative studio, its founders are anything but new to the industry. C.A. Suleiman and Ari Marmell have been writing and developing RPGs for years, and have worked for such companies as Green Ronin, Paizo Publishing, White Wolf, Sword & Sorcery Studios, and Wizards of the Coast. While neither Marmell nor Suleiman intend to cut back on the work they’re doing for other companies, they founded Lions Den Press to be an outlet for products and concepts they could call their own. Ronin Arts, of course, is one of the most consistently successful electronic RPG publishers to date. Lions Den is thrilled that Phil Reed has agreed to distribute its material, and looks forward to a long and successful partnership. Out of the gate, Lions Den offers up a number of exciting new products, covering topics from magic items to prestige classes to planar adventures. As the studio progresses, however, its founders intend to narrow their focus to cover organically growing lines of material. You can already see the earliest phases of this in their first releases.
