George R. R. Martin is the award-winning author of eight novels, including Fevre Dream and The Armageddon Rag. He received a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois in 1970, graduating summa cum laude. In 1986 he signed on as a story editor for Twilight Zone at CBS, in 1987 he became an Executive Story Consultant for Beauty and the Beast, and by 1989 moved up to Co-Supervising Producer.
