Class Features:
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Pious protectorates have proficiency with all simple weapons, with all types of armor, and all shields. Yeihd's favored weapon is the warhammer.
Weapon and Armor Restrictions: None
Spells per Day: A pious protectorate continues advancing in divine Spellcasting ability. When a pious protectorate gains a new even-numbered level, the character gains new divine spells per day as if she had also gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of the class would have gained. If a character had more than one divine spellcasting class before she became a pious protectorate, the player must decide which class to assign each even-numbered level of pious protectorate for the purpose of determining divine spells per day.
Turn Undead: Levels of pious protectorate count toward cleric and paladin levels when turning or rebuking undead.
Divine Health: A pious protectorate is immune to all diseases, including magical diseases such as mummy rot and lycanthropy.
Shield Other: At will, a pious protectorate may use shield other (as per the spell). The pious protectorate may only have one such link; using or casting shield other while another is in effect will sever the previous connection. At 6th level, the transferred damage also retains its energy type, allowing resistance to be effective.
Acid, Cold, Electricity, Fire Resistance: At 2nd level, a pious protectorate gains acid resistance 5, cold resistance 5, electricity resistance 5, and fire resistance 5. At 7th level, the resistances each raise five, granting acid resistance 10, cold resistance 10, electricity resistance 10, and fire resistance 10.
Force Resistance: At 3rd level, a pious protectorate gains force resistance 5. At 8th level, the resistance raises five, granting force resistance 10.
Herbal Imperviousness: At 3rd level, a pious protectorate becomes immune to all poisons created from natural herbs, even those that have been magically altered or enhanced.
Damage Reduction: At 4th level, a pious protectorate gains damage reduction 5/silver. At 9th level, the reduction raises five, granting damage reduction 10/silver.
Spell Resistance: At 5th level, a pious protectorate gains spell resistance 10. At 10th level, the resistance raises five, granting spell resistance 15.
