Wanted to post a pic of my favorite character - Chris (who did a fantastic job on this, by the way) posted some info on him already. Cleric of the Martyr Some artist's notes about his martyr-esque accoutrements, all relics of Eudesian martyrs unjustly slain for preaching the truth of Eudeus: -His skullcap is actually a skullcap - the result of a beheading that came up way short. -His necklace is made of the tongues of four prophetic sisters. -His rough-edged and tied-in-a-knot vest is stained with the still-wet blood of a slain member of the Order (you'd be able to tell if it were colored:)). -The head of his weapon is a millstone that was tied to the feet of a seafaring Eudesian missioner tossed from a ship (lots of trouble to get that...). -His belt is a hanging rope once used to lynch Eudesian converts. -His pouches are full of ashes from members of the Order burned at the stake by heathens. -His arms are wrapped in phylacteries made from the flayed skin of a Eudesian saint and inscribed with holy writings. -His staff was once a timber belonging to a Eudesian mission that was burned to the ground, and the hands and skull belonged to the elder of the mission who was locked inside and burned with it. When I drew him, I wanted a guy who serves as sort of a living reliquary, a monument to all the martyrs of the Eudesian faith, who travels around collecting physical remnants of martyrs and, of course, imparting righteous vengeance. I also wanted the relics, being of the saintly dead, to give him an edge against undead (and I think Chris took care of all that nicely). Anyway, that's totally who I'd play. Hope you like the picture.
