Pricing Arms & Armore Enchantments

While I know all the item creation guidelines are just that- guidelines, I'm seeking help in the determination of the proper enhancement-equivalent values for arms & armor.

I never did like the fact that you can't use the same guidelines you would for constant items on A&A. Basically I've based any new ideas I have on the examples in published materials.

Is there a better way? Is there anything official that clarifies the borders between a +1 & +2 enchantment? Perhaps calculating the cost if the effect using the given rules- effects above a certain value would be +2? Hm.

I have a specific item in mind, but fear that item pricing questions might get me shunted into House Rules, though there are existing rules for item creation...

I think you can post your price question here, and we can answer it in rules. The main trick to properly pricing items in my opinion is to compare it what's already out there, and then figure out where it belongs.... or sometimes tweaking it to get it in the right category.

I know kreynolds in house rules recently posted a couple of weapon enhancements that people have been working on pricing if you'd like an example.
