It presents everchanging colourful patterns that tends to hypnotize the ones who look at it.Powers : When the ball is manipulated by someone, it affects everyone in a 15ft. radius as per the spell Hypnotic Pattern. However it affects up to 18HD of creatures with a save DC of 16. The creatures with the fewest HD are affected first, and among creatures with equal HD, the closest to the ball are affected first. The effect last for 3d6 rounds before the affected creatures need to make another Save roll. If this second roll fails, they are hypnotized for another 3d6 rounds and so on. As per the spell, the creatures can be shaken free by creatures not affected, allowing the victims a new save (shaking a creature free is a full round action). Any attack or obvious hostile action against the victim allow them a new save. Sightless creatures are not affected. This item can only be used once before loosing its power.
