Primer

Chaldfont

First Post
Finally got to see Primer (http://imdb.com/title/tt0390384/) via Netflix. Dang, what a cool movie. It's like the cinematic equivalent of a Rubik's Cube. I've never seen a time travel movie like this.

Anyone seen this? It makes me want to run a time-travel rpg campaign where I just start everything off by saying:

You have a time machine. What do you do?

I liked Primer. It was a cool movie, even though it was confusing as all hell.
There's a timeline somewhere on the Internet of the paths taken though time.
Pretty interesting.

But the movie equivalent of a Rubik's cube isn't Primer.... It's Cube (of course).

If you haven't seen it, you're really missing out. The sequel (Cube 2: Hypercube) is not as good... But I really liked Cube Zero as well, since it actually shows what happens when you get out of the Cube. :)

Oh yeah, and if I had a time machine, I'd go back in time, patent it as patent number 1 (which really should be reserved for time machines), and then sue myself for patent infringement. I'd go broke paying myself in court fees, but luckily I'd win it all back again in the lottery. I'd realize how the money had ruined my life, and so I'd have to go back in time to convince myself never to build the time machine in the first place. But I would laugh, and shoot myself dead, collect my life insurance and continue to build it anyways.
