A desperate plan emailed to all the group, as outlined by Serena's player, and this might give them a chance to survive, as they are far too wounded to take on another onslaught from remaining Air cultists... Personally, I LOVE it. Alright, so here is my plan to deal with the immediate situation. After considering options, I believe that we are going to have to try our best to think our way out of the situation rather than fight our way out of it, or at least think our way to a major advantage in a fight if that turns out to be the only option. Serena gets a flash of inspiration and suddenly asks Teresial to recount some of the things that Aerisi would repeat and tell to her cult following, some of her prophecies and the way she would express them. With this information, Serena puts on her genie outfit (she never wears armor anyway, so no disadvantage in a fight), grabs the spear called Windvane, and summons up the anger and chaos within her which causes her tiefling features to emerge. We quickly arrange the bodies of Queen Aerisi and the other dead cultists in the room to look like some sort of ritual sacrifice by the throne, with Aerisi's bloody, fried and spider-bitten corpse in the middle right at the base of the throne, within clear view of the whole room. Serena uses her racial trait to levitate 15 feet above the throne with spear in hand, her eyes glowing with energy, her features and clothing swirling in a blurry whirlwind (these are all racial traits of being an air genasi, no spells needed). Not only are we going to allow the spellweaver and whoever is with him to enter the ziggurat and come up the stairs without opposition -- Serena is going to pose as the new prophetess of air elemental evil, as a hero summoned by Yan-C-Bin who struck down the false, incompetent prophetess Aerisi. The proof is the dead body not too far under her feet, and Serena will definitely look the part. Her strengths are in performance, persuasion, intimidation, anything charisma. This is her jam and she is ready and willing to take on the role immediately, to protect her allies and Teresial from further harm. So what I will have to figure out is exactly what Serena is going to say in addition to what Teresial tells her about Aerisi and what she said to her followers. And you guys will have to figure out what you are going to do, your positions in the room, etc. in light of this new plan. Any feedback is welcome of course, even if you think it is a bad idea. We're a team, after all!
