Message: <blockquote data-quote="roguebmk" data-source="post: 382812" data-attributes="member: 7431">I am DMing a group who recently encountered an interesting situation.  The NPC they were fighting cast a prismatic sphere (full sphere and not a hemisphere) and the cleric of the group wants to go ethereal and go into the sphere.  I say that if he does that he would be subject to effects of the sphere.  He says that he would not be subject to them because PS does not state anything about extending onto the etheral plane.  My arguement is that the PS blocks all magical effects that try to enter it and Etherealness is a magical effect.  The only reason they are being held on the Ethereal plans is through the duration of the spell and when that spell ends they are pushed back to the material plane.  So, I consider that an ongoing magical effect.  What do you think?BK</blockquote>
