Louis Porter Jr. Design has released Prisoners of the Black Box: Hellgoblyn and Ratling (Super-Powered by M&M). Here is information on this product: In a world flooded with strangeness and enigmas, Travis Peters may represent the strangest and most enigmatic person of all. Most of the time, he’s an ordinary human without special abilities other than a keen intellect and heightened observational powers. At other times, however, he transforms into Hellgoblyn, a bringer of anarchy, a being of chaos, and an uncontrollable force for destruction. No one has fully accounted all the crimes Hellgoblyn has committed. For now, he remains incarcerated at the Gereza Maximum Security Penitentiary (AKA the “Black Box”) under strict quarantine protocols and constant surveillance. Creed Biotechnologies, a now-defunct company believed affiliated with the Mosaic Trust conglomerate, pursued research programs intended to give animal abilities and senses to human beings. If successful, these programs would have endowed humans with sonar like that of bats, hearing like that of dogs, and so forth. Regrettably, much of their testing lacked proper human subject review. One such subject, geneticist Vanessa Cole, underwent testing without her knowledge or approval. While Dr. Cole was willing to test her research on other human subjects, she never agreed to be a lab rat herself. Nonetheless, she received three doses of Serum XD-67Q. It proved both successful and disastrous, giving her a heightened sense of smell, enhanced reflexes and speed, and even the ability to communicate with and control rats. On the downside, the serum forever altered her appearance to that of a humanoid rat. This PDF contains everything you need to know about Hellgoblyn and Ratling in the Amazing Universe Campaign or any other superhero campaign.
