Problem with newletter email

I have the newsletter set to "No" in my profile, yet I'm still getting hit with it. Can someone please fix so I don't get the email from this site? It's always been set to "No". Thanks mods.

I just looked at your profile, and you have it set to "yes".

Are you looking at the right option? It's in the 4th box down ("Receive Email") under "Edit Options".

Alternatively there's a separate method to unscubscribe directly from the newsletter email itself.

OK, well that's a confusing setting because under Your Profile -> Edit Your Details -> Additional Info, there's a radio button that specifically says "EN World D&D/RPG Newsletter - Yes/No". That's always been set to no, so why wouldn't that setting manage the newsletter rather than the "receive email from Administrators" setting? So, I can't get emails that Admins send without getting the newsletter now?

I fixed the setting you mentioned, but it's still confusing why it's that setting and not the one I outlined above, as it seems logical it would be that one instead.

Hmmm - I think that may be a leftover from an old experiment I tred setting up a newsletter a few years ago (it didn't work). Sorry about that! This site is so venerable that there are dusty old code fragments everywhere; we'll be upgrading to a fresh install soon though!

Oh no worries, and there's no sinister reason I'm dropping the newsletter. I visit here often enough and I'm simply trimming the email fat, as it were. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
