Product recommendations for getting into Eberron

OK, so: ECS? check. Sharn? check.

What/where the heck *is* Xen'drik, before I even consider that one? What makes it a great place to live and die in?

I'm looking at this very much from the DM side. Firstly I'll be the DM, and secondly I don't particularly need more player-oriented "crunch-fests", personally (because I have more than enough of those already.)

This thread is a great idea, btw. :) And no, not just because it's very useful to me right now. :D

Xen'drik is an Africa analog (~1900). Deep, dark jungles filled with mysterious ruins that intrepid explorers um.. explore. Hostile natives, ancient civilizations, the works. Conveniently enough (for the analogy), it's located directly south of Khorvaire, across the sea. Sharn is the major point of departure for Xen'drik, and Stormreach is the primary initial destination on the continent.

I'll also mention that Secrets of Sarlona actually makes a very interesting and deep campaign setting by itself without reference to the rest of Eberron. You need the ECS, but virtually nothing else to run a campaign there.

The flavor is a bit different though. For the most part there is a very strong 1984 feel to the continent. I need to sit down and finish reviewing the books for this.
