D&D General Professor DM from Dungeon Craft has a special message…

Everyone should be aware of their body, their health, and the screening options available to them. You should get checked and screened as recommended.

You should also consider getting checked earlier* than recommended -- provided a negative experience there will not keep you from going back for screening at the appropriate age. Sorry for the soapboxing, but as a Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration professional I have to add that caveat. *for PSA tests in particular, establishing a personal baseline is useful information regardless of other circumstances.

Here's hoping the Professor has a positive trajectory, makes a speedy recovery, and is in a place and life-situation where this is not personally and financially devastating on top of the health implications. Best of luck to them.

I can't find much personal information on him. Is he American? What does he do for a living outside of his YT channel?

Professor DM is American. He teaches high school English. Maybe teaches theatre too?
As a teacher he should have decent health coverage, at least. I was afraid he had gone full time YT and was dependent on privately acquired insurance.

He often jokes that he can do what he wants on his channel because he doesn't depend on it for his sole income. YT channel pays for fun stuff and unexpected expenses.

Looks like treatment went well and very high chance cancer is gone. Wishing Professor DM good health!

I really hope his cancer is on the treatable/curable end of the spectrum. Also that he has access to whatever health care would give him the best chance at that.
his treatment was successful, he just completed it. Guess they will know for sure in a few months. This was about getting others to get screened

Thanks. Very good to hear. I’m not in a place where I am prepared to cope with any YouTube videos right now.
