You CAN share money. You can NOT collaborate on creating magic ictems however.  For example: billy and bob want to make weapon X. Bob is crafting it but doesn't have enough money. Billy forks over the excess cash. However, if the weapon costs enough exp to make bob lose a level, he can not stop half way through and give the weapon to billy to finish.
