Hi guys, I need your help.
In the game that I am running the player of the paladin wants to go in to a psionic prestige class of some sort. There was a psionic character earlier but he died a tragic death and that player doesn't want to play the same kind of character twice in a row. But there are some plot elements involving a secret enclave of ancient psions that, while I have not said as such, they feel will be much easier if at least one person in the party were to have psionics.
Of course, there are really aren't a lot of paladin appropriate psionic prestige classes.
Also,and making my goal even more esoteric, the paladin's player has expressed a dislike for the Power Points system and wondered if there was some way he could avoid using them, perhaps gaining the psionic equivalent of Spell-Like Abilities.
Now, if you know of any such classes, close to any of the things I have mentioned, I would love to hear about them. I've so far only found one, the Sensate from the Call Of Duty pdf paladin sourcebook, which isn't bad. He may like it a lot. But i would like to present him with more than a couple of choices.
Now, I'm still interested in pre-existing PCs such as this, but we got together and talked about it, and I used the Class Creation Engine pdf that's floating about out there, and we came up with something that I THINK MAYBE POSSIBLY might be a step towards what we want. Of course I have no real experience with making classes, so I don't really know.
We couldn't decide on what psionic powers fit in well, and we ended up making four distinct versions of the class. I suppose they could work as prestige classes for a paladin order, with each prestige class representing a branch of the order. They all mention Vinduil, who is the god of psionics from out of the Psionic Toolkit, and is involved inthe game's plotline, as well as being the patron god of the previous psionic character.
