Some DMs will love it and use it heavily (Dark Sun), some will find place for it but not over-emphasize it (Eberron, Ravenloft), some will allow it and never discuss it (Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms) and some will outright ban it (Dragonlance). To me, that makes it an important, dynamic changing element rather than just another tool for PCs to build sorcerers and monks with.</blockquote>
