Psionics Question

Got another thing related to Claws of the Bear. (I don't have the DMG) In the Righteous Might spell it shows that a 1d12 damage weapon will become 2d8 when large. If I used Claws of the Bear and then Polymorph Self into a Large Giant, would Claws of the Bear do 2d8, 1d12, or something else?

I think a grafted weapon for a monk would let him use either his unarmed damage or the weapon damage, whichever is greater.

Changing the size class changes the weapon or unarmed damage.
