Going more into the idea of the 3.5e Psion and it's 6 disciplines, the only ones that aren't sort of covered by the subclasses in the UA playtest is Clairsentience and Metacreation. Seer Clairsentience in 3.5e was basically Divination with some more directly useful for combat spells. But I feel a Seer subclass might have too much overlap with the Diviner Wizard unless there's some things to do with their subclass abilties. One thing I noticed in 3.5e was the Clairsentience powers that were more designed for Psychic Warriors, so maybe a 5e Seer should lean a little into that and maybe some of the Book of Nine Swords. So my idea is to make the Seer a little like the Monk or College of Dance Bard, in that they get Int Mod to AC as one of the 3rd level subclass abilities, along with Seer Strike which is Unarmed Attacks that does damage equal to the Psion's Psi Dice size. The addition spells are likely a pick of Divination spells, some buffs and a few others for reactions. I think at later levels the abilities should be focused around doing things as Reactions. Maybe a backlash or opportunity attacks beyond melee range without die spent, and redirected attacks / damage reduction or making the attacker prone for reactions that cost a psionic die. Many of these Psion subclasses have a signature spell, so maybe it's Locate Creature or Rary's Telepathic Bond with some extra combat applications. Shaper Metacreation in 3.5e was a lot of things around Ectoplasm and Crystals, so the Shaper subclass should go all in on the Ectoplasm and Crystals. Though I guess having a manifested entities of some sort could be another way of handling such a subclass. I think they should have an activated by Psi Die ability to radiate an Unstable Aura, maybe it starts with a 10 feet radius and eventually goes up to something like 30 or 50 feet. At low levels the unstable aura should count as difficult terrain for the Shaper's enemies, and provide some sort of benefits for allies in the aura. This could be an AC bonus, temp HP or resistance to a damage type of the Psions choice. The extra spells should be Conjure including everyone's favourite spell to abuse theoretically Conjure Minor Elementals, Web or Grease, Summon Astral Entity and maybe something like Spirit Guardians. To make the Shaper different from the Conjurer Wizard, I think the Shaper should be more about altering the terrain. Whether it be within the Unstable Aura or as a side effect for certain conjuration type spells.
