Okay, "Last Call" for all of you who want in. I'm going to be starting a YahooGroup on June 30th and will invite everyone who has expressed an interest here. We'll then hammer out on that group the following: 1.) Picking a concrete date. 2.) Figuring out logistics such as transportation, total attendees, etc. 3.) Deciding exactly what to do. Visit Disneyland/Knott's Berry Farm? Go to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament? Visit a local bar/grill/restaurant (we have pretty much any ethnic food you can imagine here)? Hang out somewhere and game? Catch a Mighty Ducks hockey game (if their schedule allows)? See a movie (too bad the Two Towers release will be the following weekend)? Go down to the beachfront? Something else? We'll decide on the YahooGroup. 4.) Plan on budgeting/any pre-payment for group discount stuff if needed - would depend very much on where we go and how big a group we have and their policies for such, of course. So if you haven't chimed in, let me know ASAP, because we'll start discussing these things in July and probably semi-finalize the plans around the end of August (so I can get plenty of advance tickets, group discounts, etc.). I have a little lull in September, and then my schedule (at work and in other pursuits) gets really busy through December, so I figure we need to have everything figured out by September so I can work on it when I have time. You can, of course, RSVP later than June 30th, but depending on how far along in the planning we are, you may get stuck doing what WE want to do with no say in the matter. ;) Looking forward to seeing everybody and hope this goes well - if it does, maybe we can make it a GenCon SoCal tradition. :) If not, it won't even be remembered next year... unless it goes TRULY badly... in which case people will probably want to do it again just to be part of the train wreck. :p --The Sigil
