Alternate Realities Publications has too many manuscripts in development... At last tally, there were more than 200 of them kicking around on the office file server. The next 20 issues of Big Bang Ricochet are 50% to 80% done. The series will continue focusing on vehicles suitable for special ops, as well as expanding the recently introduced "World War II" collection and introducing coverage of aircraft. We will be looking for a writer to handle warships, though the boss intends to handle smaller watercraft. Big Bang Mini-Bang will have an additional 5 volumes done before the end of the year, focusing on: The H&K MP5 family (including the MP2000 and UMP), anti-tank weapons, NVA indigenous weapons, Soviet landmines, and underbarrel weapon systems. Big Bang itself has two additional volumes that will be done by the end of the year. One will be focusing on Japanese small arms of WW2 and the other will revisit the Future Combat Arms program, revising material from Volume 3 and intorducing a wide range of new weapons. Modern Kyuujinjouhoushi will have 3 to 5 new classes released. Recent rave reviews have prompted some writing of late. Lost Destinations: He Who Haunts the Barrens, the third volume of the series, will be done in time for Halloween. It focuses on the Jersey Devil and his numerous stomping grounds within the state. Two new series will be started. First is Atomic Horror. This series focuses on the secrets of the cold war, particularly through the 1950's. Volume 1 focuses on the Nevada Test Site, where the US detonated nearly 1100 nuclear weapons between 1951 and 1992. This volume is about 60% done and it is absolutely incredible. Volume 2 will focus on Area 51 and the numerous aircraft, real and rumored, that are associated with the site. Volume 3 will focus on Dulce Base and Volume 4 will focus on NEST. The second series is one that's been on the back burner for ages, Edge Road. This series focuses on the cutting age of various aspects of technology. The first issue will focus on flying platforms, followed by additional issues covering robotics, unmanned vehicles, prosthetics, and even an issue on the current attempts to build working mecha. Big Bang will also be going to print in its annual format. A core fluff book will be published (nearly 600 pages long) with appendices produced for each supported game system. Finally, a novel that was written more than 5 years ago will finally be published, once the illustrator turns in the chapter plates. A few additional projects that have been in development for an epoch or two may be completed before the end of the year as well.
