Publishing Single-item PDFs - Advice?

Another thing to note is that publishing products is a very different thing to writing them. I enjoy publishing, but am not a first-class writer - but my role is a managerial, administrative, and budgetary role; I pay writers, rather than write.

If you want to be a writer, I'd pitch to an existing publisher; the publishing end is a different skill set and takes up as much time as the writing does. :)

Even some successful companies have to decide whether publishing or writing is the way to go - I have a lot of Ronin Arts material, but Phil is now busy writing for other people, rather than publishing.

Wow, thank you to everyone who responded. I hadn't expected quite so much useful information and feedback!

I am a very committed writer and have quite a lot of do-it-yourself attitude sometimes, so self-publishing has always seemed like the way to go for me. It sounds like I'll need some artwork after all, and that stock art might work for these little projects.

I may actually try looking for an established publisher when it comes time to publish my big projects though, since I want them to be given the full treatment they deserve.

Can we have some additional EN hosting pimping please?

What goes on with a groups facilities or a games publisher forum? Moderate own forum (with Mods too)? Sub-forums? Board sections and placings? Storage and post storage/ clearance? Costs?
