I do think the production process might have been too late by the time they got feedback, though if that were the case I’m surprised they’re willing to walk back the subclass this much. We’ll see once it comes out.I see lots of complaints here hurled at those who previously complained about the lack of thematic fit in what’s meant to be a thematic subclass. That strikes me as uncharitable. We’ll have other chances to see a dragonriding fighter later; dragons are in the name of the game. This is the one chance for people who like the original FR Purple Dragon Knights to get something; we can let them have their turn. It’s going to be 1-3 pages out of 400+ anyway.</blockquote>
