Puzzle suggestions

First Post
Looking for a few ideas for some original puzzles. Not traps, but things the players will need to figure out for themselves. It's a moderately goofy setting, so it doesn't matter if the puzzle is of the fairly obvious "You enter a room, in the center of the floor are three levers" variety. These are pretty smart people playing, so I want something that is solvable, but not a giveaway. Having the puzzles be dangerous is fine; i.e. solve it before the the cage with the monster opens, etc.

Any ideas/suggestions?

The Book of Challenges might have what you're looking for...tons of short little puzzle-based rooms of CRs 1-20. You could easily place several of these together into a dungeon.

If I can be excused a little blatant self-promotion, you could try "Challenge of Champions IV" from Dungeon #91, which features ten puzzle-based scenarios. It's set up as a contest for teams of adventurers, but you could probably lift the puzzles and place them into the kind of dungeon you're looking for. The adventure's set up to be useful for PCs of any level.

If your PC party is low-level, there's "Gorgoldand's Gauntlet" from Dragon Annual 5, which also appeared on the freebie CD that was given away a year or so ago with issues of Dragon, Dungeon, and Star Wars Gamer. You can also find it at the D&D Adventures site, here (You'll have to scroll down the screen to get to "Gorgoldand's Gauntlet," which is a 536 Kb ZIP file).

Hope that helps!
