[QLM] Rules posted for one and all (also, armor)

Gospog

First Post
Special thanks to Drawmack for putting together the elegant yet breathtaking QLM website! :)

It has the core rules, the Bestiary and several adventures as well as character reference sheets.

You can find it here:

http://qlm.suryvial.com/index.php

To anyone that asked for rules and hasn't got them mailed to you yet, please take a look at the site. It's all there!

(my apologies, I've been having trouble keeping up with the number of requests)

In other QLM news, our last game made use of shields and armor for the first time. I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on how they would handle this.

Our armor system was simple , but may have been unbalancing.

Anyway, check out the site and let me know what you think of QLM!

Gos - if you email me those ''optional'' rules I'll create an option packs section thursday and post them to the site.

To all if you write adventures or option packs for the system be sure to email them to me and we'll review them for posting to the site. I will have a submissions section up this weekend.

To artists and writters alike there will be a post in the open calls forum asking for help.

Nice site... simple, yet very appealling.

One quibble - maybe I just didn't read it completely, but there's no mention of what dice is to be rolled anywhere (what exactly does 'roll your magic pool' mean?) I assume it's a d6 given the range of options, but it might want to be clarified.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, use D6's.

As Drawmack pointed out, the game pretty much needs a veteran GM to run it.

If I ever get around to refining the rules, I'll try to be more specific. (but not if it means having two or more pages of rules!) ;)

Thanks again.

Magic Weapon is broken! :D

Ha, seriously, nice system, great mechanism for bringing newbies into RPGs. Brought back memories of my First Level Elf in the Keep on the Borderlands ("You fall into an open pit" "Didn't I see the pit?" "No, you need to tell me you're looking out for pits.").

Gos,

I think this is great. So great in fact, I translated it in French so another segment of the RPG population can have access to it. I emailed the files to you a few minutes ago. If you can use them on your web page, excellent ! If not, well it was worth the try. :)

Guillaume

That is great! Happy to share with everyone.

I will send the files to Drawmack and see if he can post them.

Thanks for your help!

Very nice. This is way simple, but you can teach the basics with it. Nice job, and thanks to whomever put this site together. Thanks for going to the trouble of doing it.

Guillaume - Thank you for the translation. I will be creating a downloads area tomorrow I will place the french version of the rules there. I would place them on-line but since I do not speak french I'm scared I'd mess up the formatting. If you email me (tomender@ptd.net) your name as you would like it to appear on the site and a brief bio of yourself I will place you in the credits section as well.

L0rd_Dark0n - I put the site to gether, thank you for the mention. It's the first one I got cept from gospog who doesn't count.

To All
There is a new bestiary on line. The old familiar single page format is still the main section but clicking on a beast will bring up their flavor text in a popup window now as well.

If anyone speaks french and knows HTML and CSS I'd be glad to have the french rules put into that format.
