Finally had a chance to play this board game and been having a blast, so wanted to get the word out to anyone who might be interested in a "Rogue like" dungeon crawler. Premise of the game is to assemble a party of heroes and delve 10 levels down in search for the Lost Pixel artifact. Once in hand, quickly find the Portal before your time runs out. Each level has its own set of increasingly dangerous monsters and more powerful loot. Turns consist of exploring the dungeon by revealing tiles; picking up potions, weapons, armor, etc. to become more powerful, and finally drawing random encounters to battle for XP. Battles are quick and easy. Just decide which stat your character wants to attack with (STR, DEX, INT) and roll the die listed. Equipment might add to that roll or let you attack again with a specific element. Compare each total to the monster's DEF value (there is one for each of the 8 elements!); anything higher deals the difference in damage. If the monster is still alive, it now attacks you in the same manner. This repeats until one of you reaches 0. An example monster: If you had the following weapons and a STR of d10: If you had the spear equipped, you would attack for d10(STR) + d8(Boost) - 5(DEF) damage, then d4(Electric) - 4(Electric DEF) damage. This game is certainly a labor of love and lots of fun to play, so had to share.
